Atlanta RoboCup 2007

Georgia Tech was the site of this year's RoboCup competition, with approximately 2,000 students and faculty from 20 nations participating.

 

The world competition for research robotics, RoboCup 2007 Atlanta held on the Georgia  Institute of

Technology campus July 3-10. Events ranged from four-legged and humanoid robotic soccer games to search-and-rescue competitions. This year's event includes the debut of the Nanogram League, a competition between microscopic robots.

In addition to RoboCup 2007 Atlanta, Georgia Tech hosted several other robotics-related events, including the Robotics: Science and Systems conference and an International Aerial Robotics Competition.

RoboCup is an international research and education initiative designed to foster artificial intelligence and robotics research.
